This download contains all the pre-requisites to deploy MIMEsweeper for SMTP 5.3 including items like SQL Express. While this is a larger download it does ensure you are able to install all of the pre-requisites prior to installing MIMEsweeper for SMTP 5.3. For ease of evaluation we recommend this download. This kit also contains "Service Pack 1" which must be run after installation

MIMEsweeper for SMTP 5.3
- Excluding pre-requisites

This download is optimized and does not contain any of the pre-requisites. If this download is run without all of the required pre-requisites already being installed, it will display the main pre-requisites screen identifying which items are missing, but will not provide the ability to install them. The install will then not continue until all the pre-requisites have been installed. This kit also contains "Service Pack 1" which must be run after installation

Which Version to Download?
In common with many other vendors, in order not to infringe various American held patents we are obligated to offer a variant to the U.S. market that does not include the embedded anti-virus support. This is the variant that must be deployed in U.S. installations unless the customer has previously purchased a license to enable Kaspersky antivirus on the Edge Server in which case they should download the “Rest of the World” variant.

  • Your 30 day evaluation also gives you temporary access to the Support Website.
  • The U.S. Seattle download kit for the Edge Server does not include any anti-virus code and should you purchase the optional Kaspersky anti-virus at a later date then the Edge Server will require a re-installation.

    • 50GB free space on formatted NTFS hard disk, plus,
    • 30GB free space in /temp, if on the same spindle, plus,
    • 80GB or more free space if Message Tracking enabled

Hardware - High mail throughput system:

  • Xeon/Dual Core or higher, dual 2.4GHz or higher
  • 4GB RAM or more
  • 380GB disk, or more, as:
    • 80GB free space on NTFS hard disk, plus,
    • 50GB free space in /temp, if on the same spindle, plus,
    • 250GB or more free space if Message Tracking is enabled

LICENSING

You may deploy your Clearswift software in any manner that you deem appropriate, subject to complying with the Clearswift license agreement at all times. Please refer to the Clearswift license agreement to determine the appropriate license structure required to support your desired deployment. When purchasing the Clearswift software you must fully describe your deployment so that you may purchase the correct license structure.
